166 years ago, the world celebrated the arrival of a bodhisattva. His prayer was to find a solution for humanity, because people were moving to the edge of destruction. In 47 years, He lived as a human to delve into the roots of human suffering. Afterward, He chose a quiet place to think about solutions to save mankind. After exactly 18 years of reflection and meditation, he finally created the UHBE Dhamma. It has been taught and preserved over many life spans. The arrival of this dharma is timely. Today, His dharma has been passed on humankind that creates a new civilization. It brought love, compassion, understanding and puts all living beings toward an evolution path that is no difference than the evolution of the universe and all beings.
On this great holy day of October 24th every year, disciples from all meditation centers should focus their thoughts towards Him with all sincerity and great gratitude to celebrate his 166th Birthday in 2012.
Below is a brief history of the Grand Master Dasira Narada:
The Grand Master Dasira Narada.
On October 24, 1846 in the city of Colombo, Sri Lanka, the Grand Master DESIRA NARADA was born into a privileged family. His father was from Bombay of Sri Lanka named Ajita Narada and served as a diplomat with strict personality. His mother was from Ceylon and a devout Buddhist and full of virtues of a typical Asian woman. The marriage of his parents with different ethnic backgrounds gave the Grand Master Dasira Narada a light skin complexion and a virtuous mind. Despite being the only son and the sole hope of the family, even though his father had pressed him to pursue a career in diplomacy or international law, He chose to pursue a path of higher calling to serve others so he enrolled to learn Eastern philosophy at the University of Nalanda. At age 25, he earned a doctorate in Eastern Philosophy. This course has helped him gain a deep understanding the impermanent of human life. Furthermore, combining such knowledge with his inherent love and devotion to high calling of service, it has motivated him to find a way to enlighten him and humanity. He was 42 years old when his father died. He was invited by the government of Sri Lanka and agreed to assume duties as his father’s replacement. With deep devotion and diligence, he accomplished many tangible results for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka. Such achievements have opened a new path of opportunities for Him to dedicate his devotion toward serving humanity. However, after five years, he suddenly resigned and left the government position that highly sought after by many people. With an ordinary faded piece of clothing and a humble walking stick in his palm, He quietly left town to find his cultivation path. He set foot on the Himalayan range to cultivate in this remote isolation. After 18 years of practice, he attained enlightenment. He was able to open all the chakras himself and channeled the cosmic energy into the body. More importantly, he has created the UHBE Dharma and found a way to open chakras for others without the need for them to go through many years of regimental practices like him.
Summary review of 2012 activities.
Coincide with this celebrative birthday event, we like to mark the 16th anniversary of UHBE existence in this world. Also, on this occasion we want to engrave the merits of our two beloved masters: Thầy Nguyen Duc Thuan and Cô Nguyen Ngoc Hai. They have recognized the timely opportunity to bring the Grand Master Dasira Narada’s UHBE dharma to this world with their knowledge, merits, sacrifices (both time and money), and courage by their non-stop endeavor in guiding all UHBE disciples everywhere through step-by-step lessons.
Similar to previous birthday celebrations, the Meditation Center HQ – Seattle summarizes all accomplishments in the past year. It is hard to believe how much we have accomplished in a span of 12 months. For instance, in 2011, we held 94 classes all over the world. Because of this impressive achievement, we have promised to report the 2012 accomplishments to the Grand Master. We are excited to announce our accomplishments as follows:
Level 1 & 2 - 77 classes
Level 3 - 47 classes
Level 4 – 4 classes
Level 5 - 1 class
Level 6 - 1 class
Instructor Level 3 – 1 class
A total of 131 classes were taught.
In addition to the number of classes that have helped many disciples find the sacred light of cultivation, the accomplishments in the last 3 years have some historical significance as well. They are as follows:
_ 2010. Our Masters received a congressional resolution signed by both Democratic and Republican parties in the State of California. This State resolution marks the invaluable contribution of UHBE dharma in helping Californians get reliefs in physical and spiritual illnesses, overcoming all barrier constraints, helping people live in harmony, and assisting each other improve.
_ 2011. Once again in the Orange County City of California near the Phuoc Loc Tho area, the Spring sun rays was further brightened by the UHBE uniform wore by attending disciples gathered to celebrate the Grand Master 165th birthday.
_ How do we celebrate the Grand Master birthday this year? In addition to showing our impressive achievements over the last 12 months, our Masters have purchased a piece of property located just a 10-minute drive from the Phuoc Loc Tho shopping mall in Orange County of California. It is critically important for UHBE during this development stage to have a facility that serves as an indispensable foundation for which to expand our dharma. It is spacious and already has numerous precious tropical fruit on site. It is located in Santa Anna of California with year-round sunny climate and has long been a cradle of civilization for Vietnamese oversea.
The rapid growth of UHBE dharma proves that it is on the right path of God’s will. For UHBE disciples in the midst extreme volatility and chaotic world, the bodhisattva path is the only path. The only difference is the capability and the level of dharma understanding of each individual. We shall ignore the difference between us and focus on the consensus, the compassion, and the willingness to help each other overcome adversities in the common objective of relieving human sufferings that no one can see or seem to notice.
In this hour of the day where we gather to celebrate the Grand Master’s birthday, we always pray for the desire to live within the arms of His protective arms and commit to practice the UHBE Dharms as taught through our beloved Masters: Thầy Nguyen Duc Thuan Cô Nguyen Ngoc Hai .
