6/02/2011. By Nguyet Lam from Rosemead Meditation Center
After the 3-day Level 6 course in May of 2011, I begin to understand the intent of Grand Master through both Teachers (Nguyen Duc Thuan and Nguyen Ngoc Hai) who have the sacred responsibility to teach and help people in the final phase of humanity evolution. The Grand Master's objective is to eliminate sorrows and enable one to escape. Grand Master Dasira Narada has succeeded in opening his own chakras. He used his opened chakras (Tri Dat Thong) to create a metaphysical being enabling him to pass on his teaching to future generations for further development and expansion.
Why do we need to create/build a meditation center?
It does not matter which part of the society a person comes from (e.g., talented or not, rich or poor), he/she tends to have a house for shelter from sun rays and rain every day. It is a place where we live. We labor to preserve this setting and comfort for our family. Similarly, regardless of whether a person is retarded or smart, a nobleman or peasant, our souls need a place to live and that place is the Meditation Center. The Center is the heart of our Grand Master. It is where we spread our love/affection. It is a place for many souls to gather everyday to serve humanity and to earn moral credits.
Why don't we meditate (or self cultivate) at home?
Serving humanity must be complete and doing so with love/affection.
If we do it at home, we only have ourselves to serve. We would not have opportunities to serve others. The Center is where we get to witness and learn many difficult but valuable lessons of life. It is where we have opportunities to serve and to gain experience to grow/evolve spiritually. It creates a means for us to practice what we've learned to become Bodhisattva.
When we meditate at home, we only breathe in the earthling nutrients. Coming to the Meditation Center, we tend to lookout for others; making sure those seeking helps are attended. Our souls point upward (e.g., toward the heaven or nirvana); as such, when we treat others or meditate, our chakras receive pure/sacred energy. The level of pure/sacred energy depends on the impact on (or awakening of) each soul.
Why do we need to commit to actions (e.g., devote/dedicate to put learned lessons into practice)?
You give general happiness to all
And you lead every in the same direction
The Grand Master Dasira Narada has found the seed. Our Teachers have sowed those seed in many students. It is our responsibility to grow this seed. Dedication/devotion means to serve humanity in order to evolve spiritually. Co Hai often said "serving humanity is synonymous with paying back life loan caused by bad karma". It is also a convenient way for students to build up good karma, slowly but surely, and eventually it will clear the mind to let intelligence flourish.
What have we learned on this path (as taught by UHBE)?
On this UHBE path of self cultivation, I felt the moral principle is gradually emerging and my mind is clearing with the help of our Teachers. We were the "homeless" souls without shelter and food but got adopted by Teachers who have washed our souls and granted us spiritual food. Such spiritual food is of highest tangy quality. Gradually, the light will pierce through the veil of folly to help us understand the evolution of our souls. Where did we come from? What are we doing here in this life? Where do we go after death?
